Sustainability Studio

Bushkids strive to create a culture of respect for the land and waterways and our precious resources. Our Centre’s aim to provide education, tips and support on ways to introduce sustainable practices into our lifestyles as well as a way for our Centre’s to connect with our local community.

Bushkids have introduced initiatives to support our children and families to be economically sustainable through providing meals, a community cupboard, shared produce baskets and inhouse library.

Our Centres aims to build a culture that values the wellbeing of children, team members, families, and the community. Bushkids actively promote healthy lifestyles, motivation, engagement, and innovation when supporting good mental health.

Positive Well-being in Children promotes:

  • Increased capacity to understand and self-regulate own feelings and demonstrate empathy for others.
  • Engage in positive relationships with others.
  • Positive view of themselves and a sense of belonging.
  • Improved confidence and a willingness to try new things.
  • Show enthusiasm for learning and play.
  • Ability to engage with and support others.

These are promoted by offering regular activities to promote positive well-being for children using a range of opportunities, experiences and connection to nature.
